Kate is delighted to be working with her flute & harp duo, Aurora Duo, on the Lost Chord Scheme. This charity based scheme provides interactive musical sessions throughout year designed to stimulate responses from dementia sufferers through the media of music, song and dance. The music is designed to increase self esteem and promote well being among dementia sufferers and those with dementia like symptoms in residential homes and day centres. Primarily based in South Yorkshire, Lost Chord is rapidly increasing their concert base to London and Wales. The Aurora Duo are also delighted to perform through ARCH in Surrey giving concerts at care homes and hospices.

Kate has recently moved from London to Hampshire and is delighted to have been appointed Harp Professor at The Royal Marine Music School in Portsmouth and at the University of Southampton.

Kate owns a clarsach (small celtic harp) and a full size Salvi Diana concert harp. She is able to offer private teaching on both instruments. The clarsach is perfect for both adults or young children as it is smaller in size, less expensive and easy to transport!

If you are interested in taking up the harp, please have a look at the following website for advice on renting and/or purchasing your first harp:
